Let me get this straight. People are wasting my time over other people's bullshit. I know you've got endless free time on your hands, but maybe use some of it to not be so braindead and uninformed. And while you're at it, tone down the misinformation you keep spreading.
So to the detective Pikachu over there who's decided I'm some evil genius circulating a secret blacklist of streamers I want banned: hell no. I couldn't give less of a shit. Everyone is free to hustle, be parasocial, and milk their viewers however they want.
I'm a regular person living a regular life. Normal job, taking care of my parents and relatives.
Yes, recently I've banned two people from the MH community on my Twitch. Frankly because I find them cringe. One was spreading hate and false rumors and letting his community pile on too. In my personal opinion I can use any function Twitch gives me to keep my small stream away from assholes like that. The second is one of those "I know it all" types who inserts himself into every chat without reading the room.
And now, dear current-gen streamers: if you didn't know, you CAN share your ban list with your Twitch friends. There's no secret Discord. There's no hidden cult. It's a built-in Twitch feature added years ago so people can flag potentially problematic viewers across chats. That's it.
But don't worry. I know about plenty of the current-gen cliques, the group Discords, the coordinated bans, the targeted hate toward people. There are folks who can out you. Early on, when I decided I wanted to stream, I made myself one rule: 99% of what I say and do in this space should be public. Just because I know the tendency people have to act like idiots, hunt for drama, or invent it from nothing. I just want to play games and share my passion for them. I wish you could do that too. But I guess chasing numbers and being fake matters way more.
Since some of you love sticking your nose into other people's lives, here's what I actually do, once and for all. I wake up. I work. I lurk in a few friends' streams. After that I either stream, make music, or make art (yes, with AI, shoot me). Or I watch YouTube and learn new things for work, work on personal projects. I don't hang around Discord communities. I have one or two close friends I talk to and a few more I catch up with every couple of months.
Mind-blowing, I know.
Meanwhile, I see you. I see all of you tryharding this content creation with zero soul. What you do isn't my problem, but I'm allowed to have my own thoughts and share them once in a while. Rarely, honestly. Who cares about my opinion anyway.
And before someone tries again to measure followers/subs count first check the names of my sub tiers and then check around other streamers I have helped in any monetary way through the years. I am not like you. Getting money for a hobby is not my primarily goal. Never was.
So what's the point of this post? Not much, besides me losing a little more faith in humanity. People don't fact-check. People don't learn. Hell, half of you can't even read the in-game text on your own streams because you're too busy kissing up to your viewers.
